Continuous Extrusion

When frictional energy is applied to a highly ductile material like copper, its temperature increases to form a plastic mass which can be continuously extruded out of a die into the desired shape.

The continuous extrusion process offers considerable advantages over conventional processes and is far more versatile.

   Advantages :

•  Enables production of long continuous lengths of soft annealed copper shapes
•  It offers finish dimensions for soft copper products with a far higher degree of dimensional accuracies particularly
•  It produces a product with far less burrs than those by the conventional route
•  It facilitates production of complex cross sectional geometries in a single stage
